Topology: Transposition of a Wall
Transposition of a Wall is the third collective work in _threadsafe’s Topologies series, exploring how form, memory, and identity shift yet remain continuous through transformation.
Following previous iterations in London and Faro, this new work in Athens transposes the research and material memories of earlier topological investigations into a hybrid, non-human body. Constructed from data, sound, and 3D-printed architectures that merge fragments of Faro’s Muralhas (city walls) into an installation which presents a living system of motors and sensors among the pillars and textures of Athens’ old Tobacco Factory.
This entity embodies continuity across space and time: an organism composed of memory, matter, and code. Through it, threadsafe examines the deformation of identity, envisioning a post-border topology.
