_threadsafe is a London-based multidisciplinary collective of computational artists working with installation, performance, printmaking, and video.
Their creative practice is grounded in the exploration of the dynamic relationship between technology, materiality, and the human experience. Members explore this relationship in diverse ways, from interrogating data practices and AI through digital sculpture and printmaking, to exploring origin, memory, and identity through photography and spatial installations, to creating immersive experiences with code, film, and dance.
Through 2024, _threadsafe presented three exhibitions, “Dissection”, “AGORA”, and “TOPOLOGY”, the latter of which was the inception of an ongoing project investigating the theme of Topology through residencies and exhibitions spanning two years across venues in the UK, Portugal, Greece, and Peru.
_threadsafe fosters collaborative projects and exhibitions, bringing together diverse artistic perspectives to develop artwork collaboratively through residencies and exhibitions, outlining specific themes and ideas to be explored, such as Topology. The collective’s members have exhibited and performed at venues including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Barbican Centre, Onassis Stegi in Athens, Peckham Digital, The Outernet, and Callao Monumental in Lima.
